Have you ever had those minty shakes from McDonald’s that come around this time of the year? They’re pretty tasty, but I find them really syrupy! I made my own Shamrock Shake and it was amazing! Shortly after I took the final product pictures, the shake was whisked away by the 4-year-old and my husband, and it didn’t last long! They devoured it!
You will need:
4 good scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream
1/4 tsp Mint Extract or Oil (spring for the oil, the taste is amazing!)
6-8 drops of Green Food Coloring
1/4 – 1/2 cup Milk (or you can use half and half)
Optional: Whip Cream and a cherry!
Grab a good Vanilla Ice Cream, I used Crushed Vanilla Bean from Kroger’s Private Selection. Put 4 good size scoops(or more..) into a blender. Add the mint oil, milk, and food coloring.
Blend until its well combined. You don’t need to go crazy on it though! If you like, add whip cream and a cherry! This recipe is super simple, but good ingredients are key! Make your own Shamrock Shake and you will agree it’s ever better than the original!
