Who needs to order Chinese delivery when you have this simple recipe? We are always trying to save money, especially when it comes to eating out. This AMAZING Honey Garlic Crockpot Chicken recipe is so good and easy to make, you’ll prefer making it at home rather than ordering out!
You will need:
4 large chicken breasts
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup Sprite
3 Tbls minced garlic
1 Tbls honey
2 Tbls soy sauce
red pepper flakes (optional)
2 Tbls corn starch
2 Tbls water
Trim your chicken breasts and place in the bottom of a slow cooker. Mix together the brown sugar, Sprite, garlic, honey, soy sauce, and pour in slow cooker over chicken. Let cook for 6-8 hours on low, or high for 4 hours. If you can, occasionally flip the chicken in the crockpot, and I also pierce it to make sure the cooking liquid gets inside the chicken breast.
When you are able to lightly shred the chicken, remove it from the crockpot and set aside. Pour all of the crockpot liquid into a skillet. Combine the corn starch and water and add to the liquid in the skillet. Cook over low heat until the liquid thickens into a sauce.
Lightly shred the chicken with a fork and serve over rice(I prefer basmati). Pour some of the sauce over the chicken and rice and serve immediately.
