Valentine’s Day will be here soon! I like to celebrate love all year long with Heart Shaped cupcakes. These are so cute and easy to make! You don’t need a special pan just your normal cupcake tin.
What you Need:
Marbles or Glass Balls
Cake Batter (I like to use Red Velvet)
Icing (I like to use homemade white icing)
After mixing your batter. Place your liners in your cupcake tin and then add the marbles (or you can use balls of aluminum foil) at the top pushing down the center to form the heart.
Add your batter. Don’t add as much as you typically use on a cupcake or your heart will push out and be a funky looking blob.
I use an ice cream scoop to scoop my batter and only use 1 scoop for these where I use 2 scoops for a normal cupcake.
After you have filled all your liners you bake your cupcakes normally. After cooling remove them from the pan.
And add your icing! I typically only use white icing on my hearts but you can add your own touch! We have done pink icing and also added sprinkles.
I have also made these with strawberry batter and strawberry icing and added a strawberry heart!
Guess what little boys will find in their lunchboxes today for a special treat?
