If you are like me at some point your preschooler will enter the “I want to do everything myself, because I’m a big kid” phase. For us, that includes standing at the sink, turning on the water and washing his hands. Problem is, he’s a preschooler, and they are still little! He’s too short to turn on the water himself, just can’t seem to reach and he’s big for his age. I put a stool in the bathroom for him to stand on, but it starts to slide out as he leans on the sink to wash his hands and it makes me really nervous. Hmmm, I need a safe solution.
Luckily, I found one! I tried the Aqueduck Handle Extender today and my 3 year old had no problem turning the water on by himself. It took me seconds to install. There are two screws that you twist and it lets you open the up the extender and it slips right over your faucet, twist the screws back to tighten the fit on the handle and you are done! To make the actual hand washing easier, I slipped on the Aqueduck Faucet Extender on my faucet. Again, took seconds to install. Both the Aqueduck Faucet and Handle Extender are portable, easy to use, are BPA and PVC free and have no Phthalates.
I highly recommend trying both the Aqueduck Faucet and Handle Extender, both my kids are loving it. I noticed they are washing their hands longer because of the waterfall effect the faucet extender makes and that’s always a plus! But, as always, safety first and products should be used under adult supervision.
