Boo Boo Bunny – Reusable Hot and Cold Pack

With two very active little boys we have a lot of injuries at our house.  Depending on the type of injury we often use either an ice pack or hot pack. Recently we have started making our own and the boys love them! These are not only cute they are so easy to make. The Boo Boo Bunny can be frozen or warmed in the microwave. The rice inside makes it easy to manipulate and form around the injury that needs attention.

What you Need:

Chenille Adult Sock
Buttons for eyes
2 Rubber Bands
Rice
Ribbon

Fill a sock with rice leaving 3 inches empty at the top. Place a Rubber Band tightly around the middle of the sock to form the body of the bunny. Place the second rubber band to form the head leaving the unfilled part of the sock dangling.  Cut down the middle of the sock cuff to form the bunny ears.  Glue on button eyes and tie ribbon around neck.

Add your favorite essential oils for aromatherapy.

To Use As A Cold Pack: Seal the Boo Boo Bunny in a plastic bag to store in your freezer. Take out of the plastic bag for use.

To Use As A Hot Pack: Place in microwave and heat on high for 30 second intervals. I typically heat for 90 seconds total. Be careful NOT to overheat!
