My husband and I are all about having moments and making memories with our children. We take photos constantly of everyday life and special moments. The boys and I love to make things together and when I saw the new “It’s Mine” Diet Coke bottles while shopping at Kroger I knew what I could do with them! We would make Time Capsules to capture our lives.
These bottles are available for a limited time, so make sure to pick up your favorites soon! You can find out more about the new Diet Coke “It’s Mine” bottles/cans here.
First, I let the boys pick out the bottle they each liked the best while I picked out one for the baby. At home, we went through our craft supplies to find twine and glue.
Daddy and I then drank the Diet Coke and cleaned the bottles while we had the boys go through photos and choose some of their favorite moments.
Once each boy picked the photos and small toys they wanted to put in their time capsule we had them roll each photo to insert in the top of the bottle.
The next step was to replace the bottle cap.
To seal the bottles we cut a piece of twine and spread glue on it.
Then wrapped the twine around the top of the bottle to seal it.
We are so excited about our Time Capsules! It was raining today, so we couldn’t go outside to bury them, but we plan to as soon as possible. This might just become a new annual Spring tradition for us!
