Handprint Crafts are ones I cherish. As my children grow I love to look back through the years and see their tiny hands grow larger. We recently had another snow day and decided to pretend it was Spring so we made Handprint Chicks! Kids can do almost all of this with just a little supervision.
What you Need:
Yellow Paint
White Paper Plate
Scissors
Paint Brush
Yellow Craft Paper
Orange Craft Paper
Googly Eyes
Black Crayon
Start by letting your kids paint the back of the paper plates.
While that dries your child can trace and cut out their hands on the yellow paper.
Next have your child draw and cutout legs for their chick and a beak from the orange paper.
We used our black crayon to add details to our chick legs.
By this time your paint should be dry. Glue your beak, legs and Wiggly eyes to your plate
Then glue the hands to the side of the plate for “wings”
Yay! Your child just made an adorable and easy Easter Craft. You have a keepsake! Make sure to write the date on the back!

How cute is that? I was worried it would be a painted handprint craft and our little guy just won’t go for those yet. He doesn’t like having his hands covered in paint BUT THIS is something he could do. I’m off to pin it for our weekend craft. Thanks!
We are finally into messy hand crafts but I completely understand not being!
So simple but so cute! I need to pin this for a later date and then get over my fear of paint + kids.
You could always start with yellow plates! 😉
How cute! My kids would love making this! 🙂
Thanks! We had fun!
How cute is this!! Who doesn’t love making handmade crafts!? 🙂 Thank you for sharing!
