Easy Apple Dumplings

Here is another awesome recipe that we enjoyed at the Mom’s Night In recently.  These apple dumplings are so easy to make, and so delicious!  I know the Mountain Dew part sounds weird, but trust me, it’s amazing.  Enjoy them by themselves, or add a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an even more indulgent treat!

You Will Need:

2 Granny Smith apples
2 cans crescent rolls
2 sticks butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Cinnamon to taste
1 can Mountain Dew soda

Peel both apples and slice into 8 pieces each, removing the core.

Roll each slice into a crescent roll and place in a 9×13 baking dish.  melt the butter and add sugar, stir and add vanilla.  Pour the mixture over the apples.  Add a can of mountain Dew soda to the dish.

Sprinkle the apples with cinnamon and bake in a 350 degree oven for 40 minutes or until the tops are crispy.
