We received tickets to the Smoky Mountain Opry in exchange for this review. Opinions expressed are 100% my own!
When planning our family trip one of the things I was looking for was a fun show to attend. I wanted something that the hubby and I would enjoy and would also hold the attention of our 6 and 7 year olds. The Pigeon Forge Visitors Center gave me some recommendations and while I would have loved to see all of them I knew I needed to pick just one since there is so much to do in the area.
We had so much family fun in Pigeon Forge at the Smoky Mountain Opry! The show was exactly what I was looking for. There were singers, dancers, comedians, magicians, jugglers and aerialists. The music ranged from current country hits to the classics.
There were tributes to several Broadway shows including Mary Poppins and The Lion King!
Both boys enjoyed seeing the live animals in the show including the horse for the Glen Campbell tribute as well as the beautiful white lion and the tiger showcased in The Lion King.
We all really enjoyed the juggling of Slim Chance! He did some amazing things like juggling saw blades and holding a grill with the fire lit in it while doing a rope trip and spinning a garbage can top!
The next time you visit either Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg our family definitely recommends taking the time to see the Smoky Mountain Opry! It truly entertained all four of us.
