Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching and I just realized that I hadn’t taken the time to do any crafts with the girls. Little Brendie and I decided to take advantage of Susie being away today at her weekly homeschooling co-op to spend some great one on one time and get to crafting. We decided that we were going to make a cute Fingerprints of Love canvas with our fingerprints.
Materials:
- Canvas
- Scissors
- Paper
- Tape
- Giant Washable Ink Pads
The first thing we did was to cut out the word Love. We decided to substitute the, “O” for a heart shape. We then centered the word on to the canvas and taped it down.
We then began using the ink pads to put our fingerprints all over the canvas.
We made sure to have fingerprints all around the perimeter of the letters, then we stood it up to have a look.
After we were satisfied with the picture we removed the paper lettering to reveal the final product.
I just love our new “Fingerprints of Love,” canvas, and it has the perfect spot on my dining room wall.
