My kids started a new school this year and along with it we have new routines. Okay, to be honest over the Summer we winged it and did not really have a routine at all. With our new school our day starts an hour earlier than we are used to which means we have to be awake earlier too! With two boys who would rather be sleeping in a bit we have to have routines to help our mornings run smoothly. I am also determined to add some healthier habits to our current lifestyle.
It seems like we go from being extremely busy and active to lazy and sedentary. Baseball, running cross country, bicycling, swimming and basketball are just a few of the activities they took part in over the last several months. Now, they are not involved in any activities and are burying their heads in computers and console games.
I have one son who will eat a fairly balanced diet all the time. He enjoys meats, milk, breads, vegetables and fruits. My other son is picky. He eats little fruit, only a few vegetables and would live on carbs if we let him. Neither of them are good breakfast eaters. No matter how hard I try I can not get them to make good choices in the mornings. I feel like lack of nutrition effects learning and it worries me that they just will not eat a good breakfast before school. So, once they have devoured their not so healthy breakfast choices I make sure they take a vitamin.
Every morning they get the vitamins they need with Nature Made® KIDS FIRST® Multivitamin with Omega-3 Gummies daily. These great-tasting gummies are naturally flavored in Orange, Cherry and Mixed Berry. They provide 3 key nutrients, plus the essential omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA.
Their multivitamin is the last thing we do before we walk out the door for school each morning and if I forget they do not hesitate to remind me!
We buy our Nature Made® KIDS FIRST® Multivitamins at Target. I love that they are easily available at a great price and the boys know exactly where they are in the store, near the pharmacy section.
