Hot Crab Dip

This crab dip is very similar to a certain crab shack restaurant’s crab dip.  It’s one of our favorites, and goes great with tortilla chips!  You CAN use imitation crab meat if you want, but you will lose the flavor and texture of real lump crab meat.  It is a big cost savings though.

You Will Need:

2 blocks cream cheese, softened
3 Tbls heavy whipping cream
4 Tbls grated parmesan cheese
2 Tbls white wine
1/2 diced red bell pepper
1/2 diced roma tomato
4 stalks, diced, green onions
1 Tbls Old Bay seasoning
1/2 tsp ground mustard
1 tsp hot sauce (to taste)
12 ounces lump crabmeat, drained
1 tablespoon fresh grated parmesan cheese (to garnish)

Gently mix all ingredients in a bowl.  You don’t want to break up the lumps of crab meat if you can help it.  Place mixture into a microwave and oven safe dish.  I use my small casserole pan.

Microwave for 4 minutes until heated through.  I know it sounds weird, but you don’t actually need to cook it!  Once heated through, sprinkle the remaining parmesan on top and place in the broiler until the top is bubbly!

Serve with tortilla chips, or bagel chips.  So yummy!
