Living with Knee Pain and Three Active Children

This post was sponsored by DePuy Synthes as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central, however all opinions expressed in my post are my own

I have three kids who like to keep busy. I love adventuring with them but recently my adventures have been muddied by knee pain. Living with knee pain is never easy but as I age I am noticing it is more difficult. Or maybe it is because I am older AND have a toddler to chase after all day.

Hit Play on Knee Pain
My husband and I have a parenting philosophy of grabbing moments and making memories. We go on a lot of short trips with our children, we play at parks, we hike, we play, we live to enjoy the lives of our children.  Several months ago I started having some left knee pain that made it difficult to participate as much as I would like.  I missed out on some fun at the lake this Summer because I did not feel comfortable getting on and off the pontoon boat multiple times. Not only did I notice the difference but my kids did as well.

As soon as we came home from that trip I contacted my family physician who referred me to a joint specialist to check out my knee pain.  I have to be honest and tell you that I went to him thinking the worst and expecting surgery but it turned out that my knee pain is caused by arthritis. I am currently being treated for the pain and am so happy to again be participating in not only the special days but every day of my kids lives!

Don’t be like me and miss out on the fun! If you are experiencing joint pain contact your physician to discuss treatment plans today. You can “Hit Play” on your life and start doing the things you love with the people you love.

Don’t have a physician at this time? Don’t worry! Hit Play has a physician finder on their website for your use.
