FREE Printable: Pirate-themed Calendar Pieces

 Pirate Theme Calendar Printable

My little guys started back to homeschool this week! I know it seems late, but we school year-round, so we took our break in July and August. Anyway, we have been doing a calendar for about a year, and every month, our “theme” changes. We’ve done pumpkins and cornucopias, different colors of paper, and starfish/crabs, among others.  This allows them to practice making, recognizing, and extending patterns, an early math skill that will help them down the road.  This month, my older kiddo wanted pirates and treasure maps. I couldn’t find any locally, so I made some. I’m happy to share our results for you to use in your home or school!

As you can see, our calendar pieces printed out in black and white, because we don’t have a color printer, but the file is in color. Also, I was in a hurry and used regular copy paper instead of cardstock, but if I wasn’t, I would print on cardstock (in color!) and put them through a laminator, for added durability and re-usability.  Enjoy!

Mindy is a homeschooling mom to two active boys and wife to a computer geek. Reading is such a passion, she dreams of lounging in library like the one from My Fair Lady. Since that is not likely to happen, she shares her love of books with her children. As much as she would like to be a kitchen goddess, cooking means dishes and washing dishes is a thorn in her side; frankly, you will probably never see a recipe post from her, unless it involves making play dough. When not busy homeschooling and playing with her two boys, ages 1 and 4, Mindy spends time browsing Pinterest for new DIY ideas, books to read, organization tips kids' activities, and sewing projects.
