As summer approaches we are thinking about all the fun things we plan to do. Swimming at our local pool is always tops on our list! As the mom of three I worry about all my kids and ensuring their safety in the water. Luckily my boys are both strong swimmers so I do not have to watch them as closely. They learned to swim at a young age and have improved their skills each year. Our daughter is not swimming yet but we are working on it. She has no fear of the water and enjoys being in a pool. We love that she has so much confidence in the water and know that is in part due to the SwimWays products we have been using with her since she was tiny.
We recently went out of town for spring break and enjoyed the hotel pool. She was SO excited when she saw her new SwimWays Paw Patrol Swim Trainer from Target featuring her favorite character, Skye. Don’t worry, if your child prefers Chase he is available as well! Last year she was still using the SwimWays Infant Float and loved it. Now she is a “big girl” and can swim around freely like her brothers while wearing her Step 2 trainer.
International Learn to Swim Day
SwimWays has become a leader in helping children learn to swim and the promotion of water safety. One way they do this is sponsoring an annual International Learn to Swim Day on the 3rd Saturday of May, this year it will be May 18th. To make it even more fun, this time they have the Paw Patrol characters helping with the celebration.
We are looking forward to celebrating International Learn to Swim Day with a trip to a nearby water park. Our daughter will use her SwimWays Swim Trainer in the pools there as well. SwimWays has a great list of ways to celebrate this day. I encourage you to check that out and choose something to make a fun family day for yourselves while practicing water safety.
I will be sharing some of my favorite tips for combining water safety and fun with young kids very soon so be sure to check back for those!
