Summer Sangria

We post lots of our favorite kid friendly recipes on the blog.  But sometimes, mom needs a special recipe for herself!  This is one of my favorite recipes for Sangria, which is wine that has fruit, and a bit of sweetening added.  It’s so lovely and fruity that you will definitely relax after a long day of being a mom!  So make a batch of this Summer Sangria up and let the kids play in the dirt or make a mess in their room.  You won’t care after a few of these babies!

You will need:

1 bottle of your favorite red wine
1/4 c triple sec
1/2 c sugar
1 orange sliced
1 orange juiced (I added the pulp in as well)
1 lemon sliced
6-8 fresh or frozen strawberries

Slice lemons and oranges, and the strawberries if you like.  Put everything in a pitcher with ice.

Serve in a wine or bar glass with ice, a slice of the fruit, relax and Enjoy!
